Howard Pond gets a typical amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Davis Pond is nearby, and the snow is delightful at Black Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Jims Pond is a pleasant lake in the neighborhood of Howard Pond; a great place for whitewater paddling is Black Brook. So much exciting
stuff to do here in the White Mountains, too great to be true. Head up to Mount Abram and strap some skis to your feet, and Stony Brook Rec. and Camping is a good local campground. Howard Pond is right by the Albany Mountain Trail,
and you can run the rapids of Sunday River. Meadow Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth going to; the Albany Brook Trail offers hiking at its best. All through the warm months at Howard Pond temperatures are typically in the
70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Howard Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the-10's.
