    Why not stop by Howard Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is wonderful here at Howard Pond, you can go for a hike along the Albany Brook Trail; if you need a place to stay Grand Summit Resort Sunday River is a tremendous choice. Howard Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. Having a good time in the White Mountains is uncomplicated. Howard Pond is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Stony  
   Brook Rec. and Camping is a fine location to camp nearby, and the panorama of Mount Dimmock is pretty.
Howard Pond is a good site of typical rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Be careful coming to Howard Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. Very charming scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Black Mountain, and you could always discover
 
               Coon Hollow.
Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Sunday River, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Abram. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the White Mountains. Stay the night at Littlefield Beaches Campground, and the Albany Mountain Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Visit Meadow Brook while you're here at Howard Pond, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Albany Notch Trail.
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Howard Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Howard Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Perennial Inn; a perfect spot for whitewater paddling is Black Brook.
