    The beauty of Hound Brook Lake is reason enough to stop by. High temperatures at Hound Brook Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Hound Brook Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Meetinghouse Rips is a good local attraction, and do visit Enoch Lake, it's a beautiful lake. This place, Hound  
   Brook Lake, it definitely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Houlton.
Camping at Long Lake Campground is always a nice experience, and you'll stumble on a scenic lake called Simsquish Lake. Camping is available at Big Lake Campground, and some of the water close by flows, like Simsquish Brook. Hound Brook Lake is a pretty wet place typically with a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is November,
 
               and June is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Croix River, and Haycock Bog is an interesting swamp near Hound Brook Lake.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
