After a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a fine place to spend a night or two. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Horseshoe Pond is Little       Spencer Stream; if you're here you can take a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail. Horseshoe Pond is a good spot of typical rain; the month with most of the rain is July while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Fire Warden Trail is glorious fun; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Gore Rapids. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great earth it would be.
