     Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a wonderful location to get some rest; why not pop by close by Alder Stream while you're here at Horseshoe Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Kennebec River, and a nice nearby hotel is Bingham Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there plenty of cool things to do close to Horseshoe Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here  
   at Horseshoe Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Northern Outdoors is a good place for that.
The annual rainfall here at Horseshoe Pond is about average; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Frypan Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and if you came to camp Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge is a tremendous spot to do that. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's
 
               to Horseshoe Pond. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Horseshoe Pond dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights.
Take a hike on the Intake Trail, and Burnt Nubble is stunning and can be spotted from here. If you get bored of Horseshoe Pond, you could also take a look at close by Round Pond, and there's whitewater on Kennebec River - East Outlet for all you thrill seekers.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
