The warmest time of the year at Horseshoe Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Horseshoe Pond throughout the wintertime mostly descend into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant location to camp       here at Horseshoe Pond is Balsam woods Campground, and wonderful scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Big Squaw. Horseshoe Pond gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling right next door to Horseshoe Pond is Big Wilson Stream, and why not take a look at a swamp like Long Bog since you're here at Horseshoe Pond. This lake is                  so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ship Pond Stream, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Gulf Hagas Trail. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Horseshoe Pond. Lakes? Sure, Fourth Davis Pond is in the vicinity, and nearby you find the Northwest Ridge Road which is a nice hiking trail. Not far from Horseshoe Pond, you'll locate Poverty Pond which is a stunning lake, and camping at Wildwood Shores Campground is always a nice experience.
