    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Horseshoe Pond. Horseshoe Pond is located in the White Mountains. Grand Summit Resort Sunday River is a magnificent location to get some rest, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Swift River. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is abundant here in the White Mountains. Mount Abram is a very popular ski area nearby, and a pleasant location to camp here at Horseshoe Pond is Stony Brook Rec. and Camping.
Now,
 
   you may believe that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Horseshoe Pond. Near Horseshoe Pond you find the Chimney Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and Black Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Brook Trail is always a pleasant adventure; if you need a place to stay The Perennial Inn is a delightful choice.
There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Horseshoe Pond
 
               called the Angel Falls Trail, and Whitecap Mountain is clearly visible from Horseshoe Pond. Horseshoe Pond is a good site of normal rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Horseshoe Pond is not the only place nearby, Swains Pond is a nearby lake, naturally you could also check out Davis Pond if you're here; it's not far at all.
Summer brings highs in the 70's to Horseshoe Pond. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Horseshoe Pond. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. Camping is available at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground, and you can run the rapids of Black Brook.
