Grand Summit Resort Sunday River is a magnificent location to get some rest, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Swift River. | | you may believe that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Horseshoe Pond. Near Horseshoe Pond you find the Chimney Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and Black Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. called the Angel Falls Trail, and Whitecap Mountain is clearly visible from Horseshoe Pond. Horseshoe Pond is a good site of normal rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This
lake is so wonderful. Horseshoe Pond is not the only place nearby, Swains Pond is a nearby lake, naturally you could also check out Davis Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Horseshoe Pond.
Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Horseshoe Pond. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the
White Mountains. Camping is available at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground, and you can run the rapids of Black Brook.
