After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a great place to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Chimney Pond Campground. The amount of rain that falls at Horserace Ponds is close to the national average; during July this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is       so wonderful. Horserace Ponds is right by the Abol Trail; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Squaw while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Horserace Ponds is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Frost Pond Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby, and a short tour to Big Ambejackmockamus Falls is always worthwhile. What a place this is for outdoors folks. A lake nearby is Woodman Pond, and do take a                  hike on the Abot Trail. You could also stop at Clifford Pond since you're here at Horserace Ponds; it's close by, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Nesowadnehunk Stream. Summertime highs at Horserace Ponds mostly tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's.
