You get a magnificent panorama of The Horns from The Horns Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a magnificent spot to camp. At The Horns Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at The Horns Pond       sink into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Sugarloaf USA is one of those things you just ought to do, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Arnolds Trail. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Fire Warden Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Spencer Stream. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to The Horns Pond. Black Arrow Lodge is a fine local campground,                  and going for a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. A common amount of precipitation falls here at The Horns Pond; most of the snow falls throughout November; the driest month is February.
