And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable things just keep reading. A wonderful nearby hotel is Winthrop Motel, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Hopkins Pond you can see Bowen Hill, and do visit Flying Pond Dam       since you're here. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; if you came to camp Camp Laurel is a nice spot to do that. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a nice hiking trail near Hopkins Pond, and getting to Hopkins Stream from Hopkins Pond is simple. During your trip to Hopkins Pond you'll meet some people from Augusta-Waterville for sure; you'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Minnehonk Lake.                  Summer brings highs in the 70's to Hopkins Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's; night lows at Hopkins Pond during the winter generally dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Wilson Stream, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Titcomb.
