Soar down the rapids of Crooked River in a kayak; swamps are interesting spots and Perley Meadow in the neighborhood of Holt Pond is no exception. You can catch a glimpse of Byrons Hill from Holt Pond; Pleasant Mountain Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Holt Pond a wet place; the month with most of the rain is November, and September is when it's       the driest. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Holt Pond will keep you coming back many times. Camping is available at Colonial Mast Camping Area, and of course, this is a splendid vicinity for folks who like lakes, Foster Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. On a great day at Holt Pond you can take a hike along the Albany Mountain Trail.
