If you came for an overnight stay Villa Vaughn Campground is a great place to camp; the Old Gold Mine Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Camping is available at Camp Molly Mollasses; if you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some good whitewater. After a long day outdoors University Inn Academic Suites is a glorious spot to spend a night or       two, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Penobscot River. Head up to New Hermon Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hardy Pond Trail. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Holland Pond. Playing golf is lots of fun at Hidden Meadows Golf Course, and why not take a little spree to Costigan Brook since you're here. Holland                  Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is mostly the driest month. Nearby lakes?
