    Beautiful Holland Pond has much to offer visitors. Holland Pond is not the only location close by, Lost Pond is a close by lake, and there's great hiking along the Old Gold Mine Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Holland Pond. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Holland Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Holland Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day,  
   Villa Vaughn Campground is a glorious place to camp nearby; there's some flowing water close by, Costigan Brook is a stream you can stop at during your stay.
This lake is so wonderful. There are nice locations to discover along the Hardy Pond Trail; a lake close by is Mansell Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near Holland Pond. If you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Hidden Meadows Golf Course, and drift down the rapids
 
               of Stillwater River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at New Hermon Mountain in the neighborhood; don't leave Holland Pond without first going for a hike along the Scutaze Trail.
A great close by hotel is University Inn Academic Suites; if you come at the right time of year, Penobscot River offers some great whitewater. Holland Pond is not far at all from Bangor. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center is a good choice, and Pushaw Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby.
Holland Pond gets a good deal of water; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February.
