Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Long Bog, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Holeb Pond; Alder Brook Trail is a delightful local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Loon Pond is in the       vicinity, and there's good hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Holeb Pond. Moose River - South Branch has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and beautiful scenery and tremendous skiing is what you acquire at Sugarloaf USA. The amount of precipitation that falls at Holeb Pond is close to the national average; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. A magnificent                  site to camp here at Holeb Pond is Jackman Landing Campground, and Camel Rips is a good local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. A quick trip to East Inlet next to Holeb Pond is a good idea, and pleasant hiking is available along the Sally Mountain Trail. Through the months of summer at Holeb Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.
