Hobbs Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting, and you're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Portland-South Portland here. After a long day outdoors Elmwood Resort Hotel is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful       lake like Old Falls Pond right next door to Hobbs Pond is a delightful place to stop at, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Hobbs Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Hobbs Pond is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Gregoires Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby; if you want to hit the beach, Moody Beach is around here. Just can't get enough of Hobbs Pond. Great Works River is a nice whitewater spot close to Hobbs Pond;                  a forest close by is Town Woods. During the summertime here at Hobbs Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hobbs Pond are in the 10's. So much amusing stuff to do at Hobbs Pond, so little time. Near Hobbs Pond you find a golf course called Merriland Farm Golf Course, and Wells Beach is quite close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Hobbs Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while September is ordinarily the driest month. If you need a site to stay Nautical Mile Resort is a great choice; there are swamps here too, The Heath is close by. Lakes are such serene locations, why not go to Merriland River Reservoir right next door to Hobbs Pond.
