For the duration of the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at Hobbs Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Hobbs Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Alford Lake Camp is a brilliant local campground, and this is a popular location for folks from Rockland. All the water falling down from the sky makes       Hobbs Pond a wet spot; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July is the month with the least moisture. Hit the slopes at Camden nearby, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Ragged Mountain Trail. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Hobbs Pond. A golf course next to Hobbs Pond is Goose River Golf Course, and the summit of Hatchet Mountain can be made out from Hobbs Pond. While you're here at Hobbs Pond you                  can take a hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail; you can run the rapids of Oyster River. On a tremendous day at Hobbs Pond you can take a hike along the Mount Battie Trail; if you need a place to stay The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Hobbs Pond, for example Grassy Pond, and a glorious location for whitewater paddling is St. George River. Not far from Hobbs Pond, you'll come across Cotton Pond which is a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful.
