Going for a hike along the Matagamon Tote Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Shin Pond Village Campground is a pleasant local campground. Take a hike on the Snowshoe Lake Road, and Hobart Deadwater       is an attention-grabbing swamp in close proximity to Hobart Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Jerry Pond Tote Road is magnificent fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Shin Brook River offers some nice whitewater. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Seboeis River; Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a magnificent campground nearby. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Hobart Pond temperatures                  are mostly in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Hobart Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
