Bog Brook is close to Hilton Ponds and is always a joy to visit, and you can hit the slopes at Eaton Mountain close by. High temperatures at Hilton Ponds throughout the summertime are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Hilton Ponds tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of rainfall makes Hilton Ponds a quite wet site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Hussey Pond near Hilton Ponds, and lakes are such serene sites, why not go to Foss Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the vicinity of Hilton Ponds. | |

If you came for an overnight stay Breezy Acres is a glorious site to camp, and one of the main marks of the surroundings of Hilton Ponds is Foss Mountain. There are some great whitewater spots on Kingsbury Stream, and while you're
here you can take a hike along the Intake Trail. On a wonderful day at Hilton Ponds you can take a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Piscataquis River - West Branch for all you adrenaline people.

He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.
You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

Eaton Mountain
 | 21 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
