If you are in Franklin county it's always a good idea to stop by Hills Pond. Head up to Titcomb and strap some skis to your feet, and don't leave Hills Pond without first going for a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Bowley Brook for all you adrenaline kick people. The peak of Bald Mountain can be observed from Hills Pond, and there are great sites to discover along the Chimney Trail.

| | you at Comfort Inn & Suites; Mountain View Campground is a good campground nearby. Be careful coming to Hills Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A day on the slopes of Saddleback is just what you need, and going for a hike on the Brook Trail is always a glorious adventure. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Sandy River, and getting to Alder Brook from Hills Pond is uncomplicated.

Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a great place to spend a night
or two; if you came for an overnight stay Dummer's Beach is a great place to camp. High temperatures at Hills Pond through the long summer days are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's; overnight lows in the-10's for Hills Pond.
