Going for a hike on the Chimney Trail is always a delightful adventure. Lakes? Sure, Holman Pond is in the neighborhood. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Bowley Brook; splendid skiing awaits you at Titcomb. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Saddleback, and why not take a little spree to Alder Brook since you're here. Bald Mountain is clearly visible from Hills       Pond. There's so much to do here at Hills Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Dummer's Beach is a magnificent site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites, and there are glorious places to discover along the Piazza Rock Trail. After a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two; close by you hit upon the Brook Trail which is a great hiking trail. That right there is a                  lot already, but it continues; Hills Pond has it all. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Sandy River, and Hills Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain View Campground is a splendid local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Mount Blue Pond. An average amount of rainfall falls at Hills Pond; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the months of summer at Hills Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
