Lots of rainfall falls at Highland Lake; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and September on the other hand is the driest. There's whitewater on Chandler Brook for all you adrenaline people, and it's a tremendous idea to stop at Small Brook. Throughout the days of summer here at Highland Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in       the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Highland Lake fall into the 0's. Howard Johnson Hotel is a perfect location to get some rest, and Highland Lake Dam has nice water scenery. Here at Highland Lake there are plenty of folks from Portland-South Portland, and there are swamps here too, The Heath is close by. An afternoon playing golf at Sunset Ridge Golf Links                  is always a bliss; the view of Jones Hill is gorgeous. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Highland Lake. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Royal River, and camping at Highland Lake is splendid fun, Wassamki Springs Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Highland Lake, and Highland Lake is a perfect spot to camp, Wassamki Springs is a perfect spot. This lake is so wonderful.
