This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Portland-South Portland here, and if you came to camp Adventure Camp is a good location to do that. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called Presumpscot River Reservoir near Highland Lake, and at Highland Lake you can catch a sight of Jones Hill. Summertime highs at Highland Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. Throughout       the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Highland Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Royal River, and Highland Lake Dam is a wonderful location, positively worth a visit. Highland Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Wassamki Springs Campground is a glorious local campground, and swamps like The                  Heath are fun to visit. Highland Lake is a wet site that gets much precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month. Lost Valley is a very popular ski area around here. A tremendous nearby hotel is Howard Johnson Hotel; Small Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. While you're here at Highland Lake, you could also go to charming Presumpscot River Reservoir, and Sunset Ridge Golf Links is a golf course nearby. Any time is a glorious time at Highland Lake if you love the outdoors.
