Going for a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and from High Pond you obtain a good view of Hedgehog Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Fire Warden Trail. An average amount of rain falls at High Pond; throughout the       month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. At High Pond throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at High Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Helen Pond is around here. And if that's not sufficient, there's                  a load more to do close to High Pond. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Dead River, and High Pond is a good site to visit for more than one day, Northern Outdoors is a good site to camp nearby. Paddling on Enchanted Stream is so much fun, and everyone close by loves skiing at Sugarloaf USA. This lake is so wonderful.
