Some close by water includes Collis Brook, and don't leave Hidden Pond without first going for a hike along the Pierce Tote Road. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Mattawamkeag River - East Branch; if you came for an overnight stay Wilde Pines Campground is a great site to camp. Hidden Pond gets a typical amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and February       on the other hand is the driest. Get soaked paddling on Mattawamkeag River - West Branch, and you can go for a hike on the Kennedy Tote Road. Brookside Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest. Throughout the long summer days at Hidden Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Hidden Pond. And if that's                  not enough, there's plenty more to do in close proximity to Hidden Pond. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Beaver Pond is one of those close by, and after a long day outdoors Scottish Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two.
