    Heron-Churchill Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Heron Lake Dam, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Grass Pond is just a very short distance away. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Allagash River, and Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good spot to get some rest.
Summertime brings
 
   highs in the 70's to Heron-Churchill Lakes. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Heron-Churchill Lakes. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Heron-Churchill Lakes. Going for a hike on the Chase Carry is always a wonderful adventure, and Chase Rapids is a good local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. There  
               are magnificent locations to discover along the Telephone Trail, and some of the water nearby flows, like Harrow Brook.
Go for a hike on the Carry Trail, and you are close to Heron Lake while you're here. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Heron-Churchill Lakes; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Smith Brook, needless to say you could also check out Churchill Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
