If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Allagash River, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a perfect site to spend a night or two. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's while Heron-Churchill Lakes nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
