Ben Annis Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at New Hermon Mountain while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the summer at Hermon Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the       20's; night lows during the winter for Hermon Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Patten Stream from Hermon Pond is uncomplicated; get yourself into a kayak and hit Kenduskeag Stream. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Bangor is a nice choice; a lake nearby is Tracy Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western White House Inn, and there are some great whitewater spots on Marsh Stream.
