     If the weather is great here at Heald Pond, you can go for a hike along the Fire Warden Trail, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Bill Morris Pond is one of those nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Heald Pond. The Arnolds Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Heald Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Heald Pond has to offer, you can camp at Jackman Trading Post. This lake is so wonderful.  
   Visit Parker Bog Brook while you're here at Heald Pond; Heald Pond is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Loon Echo Campground is a pleasant spot to camp nearby. Sugarloaf USA is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and if you've had enough of Heald Pond, Parker Bog Ponds is close by.
From a rain point of view Heald Pond is a rather common spot; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February. The view of Heald Mountain
 
               from Heald Pond is wonderful; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Spencer Stream. For the period of the summertime months at Heald Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Heald Pond sink into the-10's.
While you're here at Heald Pond you can take a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Spencer Stream. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Herbert Grand Hotel is a nice choice.
