At Hazlam Pond you can spot Birch Hill, and a lake nearby is Lower Middle Branch Pond. Hazlam Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; most of the rain falls through November while February is usually the driest month. High temperatures at Hazlam Pond during the months of summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Hazlam Pond       during the winter usually dip into the 0's. The Colonial Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Union River - West Branch. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Hazlam Pond has to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Union River - East Branch offers some great whitewater, and you can have a great hiking adventure along                  the Eagle Lake Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hazlam Pond has to offer, you can camp at Eastbrook Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail. Don't forget to take a good little spree to Sevenmile Brook, and if you need a place to stay White Birches Country Club is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Leighton River Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and do take a hike on the Lead Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
