If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hazlam Pond. An out of the ordinary thing to explore in close proximity to Hazlam Pond is Leighton River Dam, and do take a hike on the Eagle Lake Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hazlam Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mountain View Campground, and Union River - West Branch is a great whitewater spot nearby. High temperatures       at Hazlam Pond during the summertime months are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Hazlam Pond drop into the 0's. If you need a spot to stay The Colonial Inn is a good choice, and you get a tremendous vista of Birch Hill from here. This lake is so wonderful. Hazlam Pond is right by the Lead Mountain Trail; after a long day outdoors                  White Birches Country Club is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Hazlam Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Why not stop at nearby Sevenmile Brook while you're here at Hazlam Pond, and you can run the rapids of Union River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful.
