Going for a hike on the Lead Mountain Trail is always a splendid adventure, and if you need a spot to stay White Birches Country Club is a wonderful choice. Lakes are splendid; Bracey Pond is a lake that's near Haycock Pond, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Narraguagus River. Near Haycock Pond you stumble on the Eagle Lake Trail which is a delightful hiking trail,       and obviously, this is a splendid neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Deer Lake is a lake close by. The Oxbow is a glorious site to stop at while in the vicinity; you can run the rapids of Nicatous Stream. This lake is so wonderful. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Jimmies Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Haycock Pond, and if you came to camp Cold Spring Campground is a good site to do that. The high level of precipitation makes Haycock                  Pond a reasonably wet place; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. During the summertime months at Haycock Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Haycock Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
