For the period of the summertime months at Haycock Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Haycock Pond. Going for a hike on the Lead Mountain Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and paddling on Nicatous Stream is so much fun. Any time is a magnificent time       at Haycock Pond if you adore the outdoors. A cool spot to go to in the vicinity of Haycock Pond is The Oxbow, and whitewater paddling is great on Narraguagus River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Haycock Pond has to offer, you can camp at Maple Grove Campground, and after a long day outdoors White Birches Country Club is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Near Haycock Pond you come across the Eagle Lake                  Trail which is a great hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Haycock Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Spring Campground is a good place for that. The summit of Jimmies Mountain can be distinguished from Haycock Pond. Haycock Pond gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
