Get yourself into a kayak and hit Nezinscot River; splendid water scenery is available at Marshall Pond Dam right next door to Hawkes Pond. Hawkes Pond is a rather wet place usually with a lot of rain; November is when you get the most rain here; September is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Hawkes Pond all through the warmest       time of the year are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Hawkes Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Get wet paddling on Nezinscot River - West Branch; if you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Poland Spring Golf Course. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Hawkes Pond. A great site to camp                  here at Hawkes Pond is Paul and Gail's Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Residence Inn Auburn. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Marshall Pond is nearby, and hey, Gotta ski right? Lost Valley is a fine site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. It's a magnificent idea to visit Gardner Brook, it's in the neighborhood of Hawkes Pond, and if you need a location to stay Travelodge Lewiston is a nice choice.
