Hathorn Pond is right by the Sand Bank Trail, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably keen on lakes, Rober Pond is one of those close by, and dry warm beds       await you at Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn. If you came to camp Roaring Brook Campground is a wonderful location to do that; do take a hike on the Jerry Pond Tote Road. Summertime highs at Hathorn Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows at Hathorn Pond throughout the winter frequently plunge into the-10's. This                  lake is so wonderful. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hathorn Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Big Robar Pond is near Hathorn Pond, and the Spring Brook Trail offers hiking at its best. Wassataquoik Stream has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Penobscot River - East Branch.
