     A splendid close by hotel is University Inn Academic Suites; why not pop by a swamp like Coon Bog while you're here at Hatcase Pond. There's perfect hiking along the Old Gold Mine Trail, and if you've had enough of Hatcase Pond, Mud Pond is close by. If you need a place to stay Homestead Motel and Cottages is a great choice, and Stillwater River is a glorious whitewater spot close by. Stay the night at Red Barn RV Park, and you can go for a hike on the Bald  
   Mountain Trail.
Hatcase Pond gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout November, and the driest month is February. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Hatcase Pond is Penobscot River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Hatcase Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Hatcase Pond.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. A golf course in close proximity to Hatcase Pond is Lucerne Golf Course, and good hiking is available along the Peaked Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. No need to travel far to check out attention-grabbing stuff like Eagle Bluff, and Hatcase Pond is not the only site close by, Second Pond is a close by lake. Be careful coming to Hatcase Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hatcase Pond has to offer, you can camp at Branch Lake Camping Area, and from Hatcase Pond you acquire a good sight of Blackcap.

Wooded lakeside campground with water activities, game room, store, laundry, free hot showers and free Wi-Fi.  Relax by your campfire or explore Bar Harbor, 26 miles away.  Ft. Knox in Bucksport is only 5 miles south. We are located on Toddy Pond, a 10 mile lake with great fishing and boating.  The lake offers pickerel, large mouth bass, trout, sun fish, salmon and more. We have powered pontoon boats, fishing boat rentals, kayaks, canoes and paddle boats.  We are a family campground.  Pets are welcome at an extra cost. Friday night is movie night.  Saturday morning arts and crafts for children, Saturday afternoons Candy Bingo and Saturday night bonfire at the waterfront (weather permitting). Hay rides both Friday and Saturday nights. Pushaw Lake Campground is located on Pushaw Lake in Orono, Maine. It is an 8 mile long lake with wonderful swimming and fishing. We have two laundry , two bathroom and shower facilities, as well as a Store, Gift Shop, Moose Cafe' with free WIFI in the Cafe for all our guest to enjoy, recreation hall and Arcade.
