There's whitewater on East Machias River for all you thrill seekers; don't miss out on a spree to Roosevelt Campobello International Park if you're here. You can run the rapids of Machias River close to Harmon Lake; there's pleasant hiking along the Mud Hole Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sunkhaze Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Great Brook Lake. That right there is loads

 | 18 miles away Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
