Summertime highs at Hanson Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Hanson Pond. Whitewater paddling is great on Penobscot River, and you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Moulton Pond. If you want to play       some golf, you're in luck because Lucerne Golf Course is close at hand, and Hanson Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Balsam Cove Campground is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby New Hermon Mountain, and a great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Bangor. If you need a location to stay Courtyard Bangor is a splendid choice; going for a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail                  will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narramissic River; Red Barn RV Park is a perfect local campground. What a place this is for outdoors people. Hiking along the Blue Hill Trail is nice fun, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not take a look at Saulter Pond. Dane Brook is next to Hanson Pond and is always a pleasure to stop at.
