This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at King Pine is one of those things you just ought to do. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious spot to camp here at Hansen Pond is Apple Valley Campground; Bond Mountain is clearly visible from Hansen Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting       mood you can always check out nearby Smarts Pond, and a day at Lake Ivanhoe Beach is time well spent. Sanford Inn is a nice place to get some rest; not far from Hansen Pond you'll hit upon Shapleigh Pond which is a wonderful lake. Hansen Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.                  Camping is available at Lake Forest Resort, and a tremendous site for whitewater paddling is Little River.
