     If you're here at Hancock Pond, you could stop by Dead River; what would a place like Hancock Pond be without attention-grabbing close by features like Swazey Ledge. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Penobscot River, and you can hit the slopes at New Hermon Mountain close at hand. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the neighborhood of Hancock Pond. Lakes are such calm sites, why not check out Thurston  
   Pond right next door to Hancock Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Narramissic River. If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. There's so much to do here at Hancock Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Balsam Cove Campground is a tremendous place for that, and a swamp like Hell Bottom Swamp near Hancock Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see.
 
               A journey to The Sand Bar is always fun, and if you need a place to stay Hollywood Slots Hotel And Raceway is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. A charming lake like Alamoosook Lake near Hancock Pond is a perfect place to go to, and the Bald Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Take a hike on the Peaked Mountain Trail.
High temperatures at Hancock Pond all through the days of summer are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Hancock Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Hancock Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Pines Campground is a splendid local campground; Bucksport Golf Club is a great golf course nearby. There's always Thurston Pond Dam to have a look at near Hancock Pond, and Dressers Mountain is pretty and can be spotted from here.
Hancock Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November, and February is when it's the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Fort Knox Inn; Hancock Pond is right by the Blue Hill Trail.

Wooded lakeside campground with water activities, game room, store, laundry, free hot showers and free Wi-Fi.  Relax by your campfire or explore Bar Harbor, 26 miles away.  Ft. Knox in Bucksport is only 5 miles south. We are located on Toddy Pond, a 10 mile lake with great fishing and boating.  The lake offers pickerel, large mouth bass, trout, sun fish, salmon and more. We have powered pontoon boats, fishing boat rentals, kayaks, canoes and paddle boats.  We are a family campground.  Pets are welcome at an extra cost. Friday night is movie night.  Saturday morning arts and crafts for children, Saturday afternoons Candy Bingo and Saturday night bonfire at the waterfront (weather permitting). Hay rides both Friday and Saturday nights. Christmas in July, the 3rd weekend of July and Halloween in August the 3rd weekend in August.  Come and listen to the loons.  If you do not own a camper, come and stay in one of our rustic cabins or one of our rental campers.  Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful setting....

Pushaw Lake Campground is located on Pushaw Lake in Orono, Maine. It is an 8 mile long lake with wonderful swimming and fishing. We have two laundry , two bathroom and shower facilities, as well as a Store, Gift Shop, Moose Cafe' with free WIFI in the Cafe for all our guest to enjoy, recreation hall and Arcade.

We rent Canoes and Kayaks for those of you that would like to get out on the lake and enjoy some of the beautiful nature that surrounds us. Maybe you just want to lay around on our beach and do nothing but listen to the loons, whatever the case may be come and do it with us at Pushaw Lake Campground and let us make your camping experience the best yet....
