Hammond Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is June. This lake is so wonderful. Hammond Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Cobscook Bay State Park is a good place to camp nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Chase Mills Stream. It's a pleasant idea       to stop at Clifford Stream, it's right next door to Hammond Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hammond Pond has to offer, you can camp at Great Cove Golf Course and RV Park. During the days of summer highs here at Hammond Pond get into the 70's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Hammond Pond. Second                  Lake is a great lake next to Hammond Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Northern Inlet offers some brilliant whitewater. Man, is there heaps of entertaining things to do right next door to Hammond Pond.
