The amount of precipitation that falls at Hammond Pond is close to the national average; November is the month that gets the most snow while February is mostly the driest month. Camping is available at Happy Horseshoe Campground, and there are tremendous sites to explore along the Bigelow Range Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Arnolds Trail is always a splendid adventure; the best way to spend a winter       day is on the slopes of nearby Titcomb. Through the summer months at Hammond Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hammond Pond are in the 0's. All the outdoors amusing stuff close to Hammond Pond will keep you coming back persistently. Near Hammond Pond you hit upon the Fire Warden Trail which is a                  splendid hiking trail, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious site to get some rest.
