Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Oakdale Country Club, and dry warm beds await you at The Perennial Inn. This is a magnificent vicinity for folks who like lakes. Birch Pond is a lake around here, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Chimney Trail. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains.       The Falls is always fun to check out, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Wilson Lake Inn is a perfect choice, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail. Halfmoon Pond is a good place of normal rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Hit the slopes at Black Mountain around here,                  and on a pretty day you acquire a good view of Carr Mountain from Halfmoon Pond. Halfmoon Pond is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Dummer's Beach is a splendid place to camp nearby, and Bowley Brook is a delightful whitewater spot close by. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Mountain View Campground is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Androscoggin River Reservoir is in the neighborhood of Halfmoon Pond; why not stop at nearby Edmunds Bog Brook if you're here at Halfmoon Pond. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. At Halfmoon Pond all through the summer months highs are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Halfmoon Pond tend to be in the-10's. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Halfmoon Pond has it all.
