There's tremendous hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail, and don't leave Halfmile Pond without first checking out Fletcher Bluff. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Halfmile Pond without first going for a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Halfmile Pond has to offer, you can camp at       Parks Pond Campground, and paddling on Tannery Brook River is so much fun. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Halfmile Pond, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Halfmile Pond night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. Halfmile Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of                  the year is February. What a place this is for outdoors folks. After a long day outdoors White Birches Country Club is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and from Halfmile Pond you get a pleasant vista of Bald Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Halfmile Pond, for example Grassy Pond, and tremendous hiking is available along the Old Gold Mine Trail. Little Jellison Hill Pond is a tremendous lake near Halfmile Pond.
