If you need a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a fine choice, and don't leave Half Moon Pond without first going for a hike along the Kennedy Tote Road. After a long day outdoors Shiretown Motor Inn is a magnificent site to spend a night or two, and the slopes of Bigrock are so inviting nobody can resist.
