    Haley Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more amusing things to do here in the White Mountains. Saddleback is a delightful local ski area; if you need a place to stay The Perennial Inn is a magnificent choice. High temperatures at Haley Pond throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; after the  
   sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Haley Pond drop into the-10's. Why not camp at Black Brook Cove Campground if you're here at Haley Pond, and while you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School.
Haley Pond gets a typical amount of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Beaver Mountain from
 
               Haley Pond is pretty; if you're here you have to stop at Greenvale Cove. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing things to do in the White Mountains. A pretty lake like Mountain Pond close to Haley Pond is a good place to visit, and there's good hiking along the Piazza Rock Trail.
The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Black Mountain, and the Bemis Stream Trail offers hiking at its best. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Dead River - South Branch, and don't leave Haley Pond without first going for a hike along the Bemis Trail.
Haley Pond really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a splendid local campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Sandy River. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Mud Pond near Haley Pond; it's a pleasant idea to stop by Cascade Stream.

The new quad chairlift also allows novice and intermediate skiers to ski from the summit for the first time. Novices can now enjoy the panoramic views and ski along the 4000 ft. ridge amongst rime-frosted conifers before descending to the base via the 3.1 mile America and Hudson Highway trails. Intermediates can ski Tri-Color and Green Weaver, a one mile loop, back to the Kennebago Chair.

Angel Falls Trail
I used to climb up as a kid, and I still love it. It is a fairly easy hike, but worth it at the end. There is one small brook crossing, but other then that, it is a great place to take kids young and old....

Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far  the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention....
