Maine has many beautiful lakes and Hales Pond is one of them. Hales Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some great whitewater; Lost Valley
has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Five Seasons Campground is a delightful spot to camp, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic
Trail. It's a perfect idea to take a look at Hales Brook, it's right next door to Hales Pond, and if you need a place to stay Winthrop Motel is a delightful choice.
