This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hales Pond; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a great local trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Maple Lane Inn & Golf Club. Hales Pond gets a large amount of water; November is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. There's some flowing water       nearby, Hales Brook is a stream you can explore while here, and a picturesque lake like Echo Lake is a wonderful spot to visit. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Lost Valley. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Hales Pond is unbeatable! Titcomb is a very popular ski area close at hand, and paddling on Sandy River is so much fun. Five Seasons Campground is a perfect local campground, and after a long day outdoors Winthrop Motel                  is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. All through the summertime highs here at Hales Pond get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hales Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a great choice; you'll probably meet some folks from Lewiston-Auburn here.
