If you come at the right time of year, Wilson Stream offers some great whitewater, and if you get bored of Hales Pond you could also stop by nearby Echo Lake. The skiing at Titcomb is perfect; Cobbossee Motel is a great site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. East Livermore Campgrounds is a nice campground here, and after a long day outdoors Winthrop Motel is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. Lost Valley       is a great local ski area, and why not a little side spree to Hales Brook. Hales Pond really is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Here at Hales Pond there are plenty of folks from Lewiston-Auburn, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Five Seasons Campground, and a round of golf at nearby Maple Lane Inn & Golf Club is a nice way to kill some time. Throughout the summer months highs                  here at Hales Pond reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Hales Pond. On a gorgeous day you obtain a panorama of Baldwin Hill from Hales Pond, and Hales Pond is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
