Wilson Stream has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby; there are glorious places to look at along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Lewiston-Auburn here. After a long day outdoors Winthrop Motel is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and a splendid place to camp here at Hales Pond       is East Livermore Campgrounds. A golf course near Hales Pond is Maple Lane Inn & Golf Club; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Lost Valley is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River; a day on the slopes of Titcomb is just what you need. Echo Lake is a great lake in close proximity to Hales Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things right next                  door to Hales Pond. Lakes? Sure, Echo Lake is close at hand; at Hales Pond you can see Baldwin Hill. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Hales Pond reach the 70's.
