     Eagle Lodge & Camps is a glorious local campground, and going for a hike on the Peaked Mountain Trail is always a pleasant adventure. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Gristmill Pond called the Old Gold Mine Trail, and there's always Eskutassis Stream Dam to explore in the neighborhood of Gristmill Pond. Summer at Gristmill Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; the overnight is slightly colder of course, regularly in the 50's.  
   Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gristmill Pond. Any time is a fine time at Gristmill Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Looking for something near Gristmill Pond? Eskutassis Pond is in close proximity; here at Gristmill Pond you can catch a glimpse of Town House Hill.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're going to Gristmill Pond from Bangor, you won't be the only one; if you don't
 
               mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Passadumkeag River. Gristmill Pond gets a lot of water; the month with most of the rain is November; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors University Inn Academic Suites is a wonderful location to spend a night or two.
Gristmill Pond is not the only place nearby, Pickerel Pond is a nearby lake; don't forget to take a fine little visit to Clark Brook. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Sunkhaze Stream, and Gristmill Pond is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Lakeside Camping is a pleasant location to camp nearby.
