Maine has many beautiful lakes and Grindstone Pond is one of them. Grindstone Pond is a good spot of common rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month is February. Camping at Gilman Pond Campground is always a glorious experience; there's magnificent hiking along the Arnolds Trail. For the duration of the warm months, highs usually are in the 70's at Grindstone Pond while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter

| | comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Grindstone Pond drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a tremendous spot to do that, and Grindstone Pond is not the only place nearby, Tufts Pond is a nearby lake. thing to do around Grindstone Pond; Bigelow Range Trail is a splendid local trail. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Titcomb; don't leave Grindstone Pond without first going for a hike along the Fire Warden Trail. This lake
is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a good location to spend a night or two. You could also explore Shiloh Pond while you're here at Grindstone Pond; it's close by, and you can never get enough of the nice
skiing at Sugarloaf USA. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Carrabasset, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious location to get some rest.
