Grindstone Pond is a nice lake to visit. A typical amount of rain falls here at Grindstone Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Arnolds Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sugarloaf USA is rather near. get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Carrabasset. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn. Don't leave Grindstone Pond without first going for a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail; there's whitewater on Sandy Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
