A typical amount of rain falls here at Grindstone Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Arnolds Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sugarloaf USA is rather near. For the period of the summertime months at Grindstone Pond highs are commonly in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures       are in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Grindstone Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Stay the night at Gilman Pond Campground; Titcomb is a perfect local ski area. Just can't get enough of Grindstone Pond. There are brilliant locations to explore along the Fire Warden Trail, and Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Comfort Inn & Suites is a good place to                  get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Carrabasset. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn.
