Togus Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and there's whitewater on Sheepscot River for all you adrenaline junkies. From a precipitation point of view Greeley Pond is a pretty typical site; most of the rain falls during November, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Greeley Pond during the summertime highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Eaton Mountain

The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009.
