     A pretty lake like Otter Chain Ponds near Great Works Stream is a brilliant place to visit, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Great Works Stream Dam, and camping at Parks Pond Campground is always a delightful experience. For the period of the summer highs here at Great Works Stream reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.  
   The winter comes with highs in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Great Works Stream. The high level of rainfall makes Great Works Stream a reasonably wet location; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River; going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
 
               You'll locate a scenic lake called Penobscot River Reservoir near Great Works Stream; hiking along the Peaked Mountain Trail is tremendous fun. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do in close proximity to Great Works Stream. Swamps like Number Sixteen Swamp are fun to go to, and at Great Works Stream you always meet someone from Bangor.
If you come at the right time of year, Penobscot River offers some brilliant whitewater. Boynton Brook is a striking stream that is worth going to; after a long day outdoors University Inn Academic Suites is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Greenwood Acres Campground is a glorious spot to do that; Great Works Stream is right by the Old Gold Mine Trail.

Pushaw Lake Campground is located on Pushaw Lake in Orono, Maine. It is an 8 mile long lake with wonderful swimming and fishing. We have two laundry , two bathroom and shower facilities, as well as a Store, Gift Shop, Moose Cafe' with free WIFI in the Cafe for all our guest to enjoy, recreation hall and Arcade.

We rent Canoes and Kayaks for those of you that would like to get out on the lake and enjoy some of the beautiful nature that surrounds us. Maybe you just want to lay around on our beach and do nothing but listen to the loons, whatever the case may be come and do it with us at Pushaw Lake Campground and let us make your camping experience the best yet....

Wooded lakeside campground with water activities, game room, store, laundry, free hot showers and free Wi-Fi.  Relax by your campfire or explore Bar Harbor, 26 miles away.  Ft. Knox in Bucksport is only 5 miles south. We are located on Toddy Pond, a 10 mile lake with great fishing and boating.  The lake offers pickerel, large mouth bass, trout, sun fish, salmon and more. We have powered pontoon boats, fishing boat rentals, kayaks, canoes and paddle boats.  We are a family campground.  Pets are welcome at an extra cost. Friday night is movie night.  Saturday morning arts and crafts for children, Saturday afternoons Candy Bingo and Saturday night bonfire at the waterfront (weather permitting). Hay rides both Friday and Saturday nights. Christmas in July, the 3rd weekend of July and Halloween in August the 3rd weekend in August.  Come and listen to the loons.  If you do not own a camper, come and stay in one of our rustic cabins or one of our rental campers.  Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful setting....
