    Great Works Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Roosevelt Campobello International Park is recommended, and get wet paddling on Dennys River. Why not stop at Great Works Dam while you're here. All the outdoors cool things close to Great Works Pond will keep you coming back persistently. Camp Rips is a delightful place to check out while you're at Great Works Pond; you can stay the night at Knowlton's  
   Seashore Campground.
Great Works Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and July is when it's the driest. During the summertime at Great Works Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Great Works Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. A splendid view of striking
 
               Birch Hill is available from Great Works Pond, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Cathance Stream.
You'll locate a beautiful lake called Bog Lake near Great Works Pond; if you're here, you could pop by Preston Brook. Do go to Hobart Bog in the vicinity of Great Works Pond, it's a charming lake, and Cobscook Bay State Park is a pleasant campground nearby.
