Do stop at Holmes Pond right next door to Great Pond, it's a stunning lake, and if you haven’t been to Roosevelt Campobello International Park, you ought to schedule some time for it if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Ackley Pond       is a nearby lake that you could explore; on a pretty day you can take a look at Jasper Beach. Cobscook Bay State Park is a pleasant campground nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Great Pond. A day at pretty Davis Beach near Great Pond is a good thing to do, and taking a little tour to close by Deep Cove is a delightful idea. All the water falling down from the sky makes Great Pond a wet spot; throughout the month                  of November you get the most rain around here; August is when it's the driest. For the period of the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Great Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Great Pond are in the 0's.
