Why not camp at Great Pond Campground since you're here at Great Pond, and paddling on Sandy River is so much fun. The high level of rain makes Great Pond a reasonably wet place; of all the       months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. At Great Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Great Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Beaver Brook, and you can never get enough of the great                  skiing at Titcomb. At Great Pond you can catch a glimpse of The Mountain; you'll locate a beautiful lake called Whittier Pond. Great Pond Outlet Dam has great water scenery and it's near Great Pond, and a delightful lake like Long Pond is a tremendous site to explore. Be careful coming to Great Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. Soar down the rapids of Cobbosseecontee Stream in a kayak, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Civic Center is a fine choice. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Great Pond.
