There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Great Pond. Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta is a glorious location to get some rest; Great Pond is glorious enough to       spend more than a day at, Whisperwood Lodge & Cottages is a glorious local campground. Very picturesque scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Eaton Mountain; Mosher Hill is simple to spot from Great Pond. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Civic Center is a good place to spend a night or two; Great Pond is a brilliant lake close                  by. High temperatures at Great Pond throughout the warm days of summer are in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows at Great Pond through the wintertime usually descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Cobbosseecontee Stream, and a delightful site to camp here at Great Pond is Great Pond Campground.
