Lakes are delightful; Little Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Great Pond. Good hiking is available along the Lead Mountain Trail, and one of the main features of the surroundings of Great Pond is Cone Hill. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Great Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Spring Campground is a magnificent location for that,       and getting to Collar Brook from Great Pond is simple. Any time is a splendid time at Great Pond if you like the outdoors. Stay the night at Eastbrook Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Pug Hole. If you need a place to stay White Birches Country Club is a great choice; Union River - East Branch is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Great Pond gets much water; November is the wettest month with most rain,                  and the driest month of the year is February. For the period of the warm months highs here at Great Pond get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Great Pond.
