During your journey to Great Pond you'll meet some folks from Portland-South Portland for sure, and you're possibly into lakes, Little Pond is one of those nearby. Great Pond typically gets a lot of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and August is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun. There's so much to do       here at Great Pond that you need to camp here for a while, A Vacationland Campground is a tremendous site for that. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do near Great Pond. At Great Pond all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, regularly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Great Pond temperatures                  dip to the 10's. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great planet it would be. Lost Valley has nice slopes and a friendly staff; while you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Pleasant Hill Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Adams Head is around here and always wonderful to visit; Blue Hill is gorgeous and can be seen from here. During your stay at Great Pond do have a look at close by Crescent Beach, and if you came to camp Bayley's Camping Resort is a pleasant place to do that. If you need a spot to stay Inn By the Sea is a delightful choice; while you're here, you might as well pop by The Brothers. Spend the day on the beach at Cliff House Beach since you're here at Great Pond, and a delightful nearby hotel is New England Inn Brockers.
