    Do stop by Gray Pond while you're in this part of Maine. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Mountain Pond, and Gray Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mainayr Campground is a great local campground. Summertime at Gray Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Gray Pond are in the 0's. The high level of rainfall  
   makes Gray Pond a rather wet site; during the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There are some splendid whitewater spots on Mopang Stream, and here at Gray Pond you can make out Spruce Mountain. Any time is a nice time at Gray Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Eagle Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Gray Pond that
 
               you need to camp here for a while, Eastbrook Campground is a perfect site for that. Bar Harbor Inn is a nice place to get some rest, obviously you could also take a look at Beddington Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
The Lead Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Take a little trip to Shorey Brook while you're here at Gray Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Narraguagus River offers some great whitewater.
